Magda Varoucha
A voice that leans in rather than performs.
Magda Varoucha is a Greek singer-songwriter and vocalist, self-taught on piano and guitar, with a distinctive timbre and vocal turns drawn from traditional Greek singing and the Western song.
She entered the recording world officially with her first single, “Onera”, written and composed by Aris Klisouras, and has since released a run of personal singles, collaborations and the full-length album “28 kai kati”. Her songs “De se harizo”, “Ora na’rtheis” and “Kyriaki” travel on Greek radio and digital platforms, and her new album “Ti thelo na gino otan megaloso?” follows.
Along the way she has worked with Babis Stokas, Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Christos Thivaios and Matoula Zamani, and in 2025 she sang at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, in a concert dedicated to Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis.
